Donald Duck VD Awareness poster cir. WWII Australian
World War II Allies Propaganda
Actually approved and endorsed by Disney, this image was displayed and distributed around Australian Military bases during WWII. The image plainly suggests that Donald is disapointed at not having a "Pro" (profelactive), so that he may safely continue romancing a human woman. A hilarious and very rare image that likely struck a chord with many Australian Servicemen.

This is funny...I doubt Disney would endorse this today. What a great piece. Have you had it appraised?

The last one that sold at public auction went for $1800.00. I wish Disney still had enough guts to produce imagery like this, for the appropriate resons of course.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not surprised that it would go for at LEAST that. I'm curious whether you have more similar items, and what other types of things you collect?

I collect beer memorabilia, and I've posted some of that to the site. I will be posting more propaganda as well. I collect some other odds and ends, and look forward to sharing!
